Vanitha hails from a family of accomplished musicians and learnt Carnatic vocal music and Veena from her Mother. A versatile singer who can traverse between classical and light music with ease, she is a perfectionist who strives to bring out the lyrical beauty of a composition and has a fondness for Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhonsle songs. 


A professional singer from Hyderabad who was inspired by his parents to  to sing from an early age. He is a veteran of many stage performances and actively involved in local musical events. Melody is his forte and he enjoys any soulful music. He was instrumental in bringing celebrated artists like SPB & music director Mani Sharma to perform in Raleigh. His children continue the tradition by pursuing both western and indian forms of music.

An Ardent AR Rahman and Ilayaraja fan with a heavy appetite for vocal performances on live events. A versatile singer with multiple stages to his credit. Has a penchant specifically for music from tamil movies and is often called a ARR database by his friends:-)


Nirupama is professionally trained in Hindustani and Carnatic styles of classical music, and feels she is a constant student, always wanting to learn more. AR Rahman's music was a strong influence while growing up in Mumbai, and many songs take her instantly back to her college days, hanging out with friends, and the romance of the rainy Mumbai monsoons. She has filled many stages with her elegant voice in and around RTP area ever since she moved to RTP from Michigan.


A well established stage performer with undoubted ability to mesmerize listeners with her melodious timbre. Her classical roots coupled with a strong knowledge on light music makes her a strong live performer. As a student who easily cleared the auditions for AR Rahman's pioneer batch of the renowned KM conservatory in Chennai, she is usually one of the star local attractions in any event she participates.


​​​Valarmathi Manickam began her Bharathanatyam training at the age of six under Smt. Shantha Ranganathan and enriched it under the guidance of of kalaimamani M.k.Sarala, Udipi Sri Lakshminarayanan Pillai and then under Smt. Suman Nayak of San Diego, CA. Valar performs, Choreographs and teaches mainly Bharatanatyam style and also in semi-classical and folk styles. Valar’s passion for Bharathanatyam stems from its spirituality, intricate beauty and grace. With her dedication to her art form, she had made a mark with her performances in the Triangle area. She is the co-founder of Thalir Arts Academy which is a versatile organization teaching classical arts to passionate individuals in the triangle area. She lives in Cary with her husband and a daughter.

Madhan is the co-founder of Thalir Arts Academy who is very passionate about supporting local talents and takes immense pleasure in providing a platform for the deserving talents and an opportunity to perform via this organization. Madhan is a very passionate singer who is currently undergoing classical music training from Smt Vasanthamala. With his passion for singing, he is capable of delivering songs in different genres and with his presence on stage can thoroughly engage  and entertain the audience. He comes from a family who are as passionate as him towards music and also professionally trained. He had performed in many local events both in karaoke and live formats. He had also performed in local bands back in his home town in India.
